About Us

Hello parents and family, I want to share a little about myself. My name is Rosa Sanchez. I graduated from the California State University Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and went on to receive my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. After 32 rewarding and enjoyable years of teaching 3rd graders, I decided it was time to retire. 

However, teaching is my passion. I will always have a love of teaching and a love for children. Therefore, my husband and I decided to open a family daycare and preschool. 

My philosophy is that children learn at different paces and by through various modes. What works well for one child may be less effective for another. My goal is to provide an individualized program to support every aspect of the child’s growth- physical, mental, auditory, and sensory. My vision is that your child will leave Little Owlet Playschool prepared for kindergarten and most importantly, with a lifelong love of learning.

My name is Javier Sanchez. I graduated from California State University  Bakersfield with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Liberal Studies. I have over 20 years of teaching experience as a substitute teacher in grades TK-6th.  Mostly recently, I have been working with special education students and students with learning disabilities.

In my experience and training, no two students are alike. Therefore,  I believe we must cater to their individual learning styles and preferences. With our small group size and low teacher-to-child ratios, you can feel assured that your child's needs will be met.

With our combined knowledge and experience, my wife and I are looking forward to meeting your daycare needs. Your child's health, safety and happiness is our number one priority.
